Candi Team on Tour | Mallorca

Hi and thank you for stopping by at our blog.

Last year we have been traveling like crazy from April to November and of course we had our cameras on the road too.

Besides mobile phones we also carry the “big ones” every once in a while to capture us as a family and casing the beautiful light in other countries. Continue Reading

Fernwehosophy | Issue #1 | South Africa

A couple of month ago a new travel blog from Germany was brought to live from Elisaveta Schadrin-Esse. An amazing blog where globetrotters and traveling photographers share their trips around the world called Fernwehosophy.

The team around Lisa also started the FernwehO MAG to bring special locations and regions of the planet into one place. Perfect to get wanderlust and explore the word either in the magazine or get tips to explore countries by yourself. Continue Reading

A month in New Zealand | Our Wedding Film

Yesterday we had a very nice little family and friends BBQ at one of the most beautiful spots in Carinthia. It is overwhelming how much love we received for our wedding in New Zealand over the last couple of month and eloping was simply the best idea we have ever head. But truth to be told, we missed our close people and thus we wanted to party with them as well. Continue Reading

A country to fall in love with | New Zealand

About three years ago, we have done a trip around the world and totally fell in love with this wonderful country. (Postings from the past, here and here) New Zealand reminds us a little bit of Austria with the difference that a deep blue ocean is attached to the endless of beauty in the nature.

We were very sure that we will be back one day and once we started planning our recent trip around the world, we knew we want at least another month of traveling in one of these cool camper vans. Continue Reading

Our Unconditional Love | India | Kerala

We just “landed in Vegas for the biggest wedding photography convention (WPPI) and ready for some great new inspirations and meeting old and new friends! But before that, we gotta get this blog post finally up in the air.

WOW, it really took us so long but believe it or not, traveling sounds like a lot of free time but you end up doing something all the time. And between India and now there happened so many things we hardly can process everything. AND: we got married too…but more about this very soon, it was more than wonderful!

If you want more real time story telling, go and follow us on Instagram, as we post daily pictures of our trip there. Carmen’s personal account and the official Carmen and Ingo account. Continue Reading

A Compagnon for every shoot | Leather Bags from Germany

Earlier this year we came across this startup company from Valentin and Vitali through our friend Steffen – Stilpirat – Böttcher called Compagnon Bags. We were hooked from the first moment and we contacted them right away.

We have been looking for nicer camera bags other than these big black bulky things screaming “look-i-have-10k-euros-photo-gear-in-here” for a very long time. Continue Reading

Fun with close friends | Road tripping | USA

Boy, looking at these photos from our recent trip to the USA makes us want to go back or just call our friends for a small chat. It was such a great and funny time. During the stay in Las Vegas we spontaneously decided to head out to the desert to do a fun shoot with all of us. You know, just everyone poses for the other one and it’s basically hanging out with our buddies and enjoying this gorgeous light in Nevada.

We love these guys so much and we cannot wait to meet them again. Also Ingo enjoyed having so much quality time with his long time buddy and best friend and all around nice guy Stefan from Stinglight Photography. He took the photos from us both. Thanks dude for everything!!

Jaime and Chase | Get in Front of the Lens

wpid23747-IP12680.jpg

We do it at least once a year to be in front of a lens of another photographer whom we admire and love to work with. For those of you coming regularly here to our blog might have seen this last years shoot in Tuscany with our dear friend Nadia Meli or this one with Mike and Rachel Larson.

The reasons for such an annual shoot are obvious. You get fantastic pictures and second, as a photographer, you gotta see how this person works :-) Continue Reading

Heading Overseas | WPPI and California

Just in time when the sun is coming back here in our area we are heading out of town to enjoy even a little more sun. California (and Nevada) is calling.

Some of you might know that we went to world’s largest wedding and portrait photographer convention last year: WPPI – we have blogged about this here and HERE.

This part of the states isn’t totally new to us. We have spend almost three weeks during our trip around the world in 2011. In case you would like to see what we discovered back then, here are the postings about this. Oh and HERE. Continue Reading

Don’t move | Vacation | Thailand

As mentioned in the previous post about the after wedding shoot in Thailand (in case you missed it here is the wonderful couple we photographed at the beach) we have had some “rest and relax” in the sun last month.

To sum this up with one word: AMAZING!

If you follow our blog you might have noticed, that if we are on our travels we always try to dive into the culture and are out in the field for great stories and portraits. That’s travelling. We totally distinguish between a vacation and travelling. Why? Because it simply is a total different approach for us. You might guess where we are heading with this. We have had a REAL vacation this time. One thing was on the 2-do-list: Don’t move too much ;-) Continue Reading

India, you are always in our Hearts

We are in the middle of high peak wedding season right now. Lotsa work around and also kinda stressful for both of us. Times like that make us thing back to our travels and realize (remember) how grateful we should be for our lives. All plays well right now here in our world. We are half time through of our first year of full time biz owners and still very happy with the decision. Continue Reading

Happy Holi | Great Hospitality in India

First of all we would like to thank you all so much for the overwhelming response to Kismets and Nitins wedding. It’s been a page view record for us again and we loved all your comments here and on Facebook and Twitter. We are speechless! Thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts!

Chances are that we are repeating ourselves here but we are in love with this country. Ever since we visited it first, back in 2005, there is a special chemistry between us and India. The people, the nature, the smells, the traffic just everything is so different from back home or any other places we have seen so far.

When we got hired for the wedding we did not waste a second to clear out the calendar for at least a month in order to spend some time here.
Well you might say, haven’t you just been on a 6 month vacation? Then let us tell you, that our trip around the world was not just a super long vacation and second, it’s almost a year that we came back from that trip.

So we decided before our busy summer is starting in April, we would like to recharge batteries and combine once again what we do love the most: photography and traveling.

We have been looking forward to this wedding for a very long time now. An Indian wedding has always been on our wish list, and then, wedding in India could only top it! So here are pictures and the story of our first Indian wedding in India. Please, don’t be mad on us but putting 4 days into one blog posting is kinda difficult. So be aware to see lotsa pictures and many words. Here we go! Continue Reading

Back in Beautiful India | The Streets of Delhi

We know you guys are badly waiting for the Indian wedding to hit the blog and we promise it’s on the way. But meanwhile here our first impressions of this wonderful country.

After spending about 36 hours in Munich we left for Delhi on 27th Feb for a month in India. India, and Delhi especially, is one of the rare places we have been visiting more than once on one of our trips. It’s almost exactly three years that we were here last and a lot changed since than. But then again, nothing is different from 2009. We arrived 3am and headed to a nice hotel near the central train station. We just wanted to hit the pillow before doing anything else. Needed a lot of patience right outside the airport though. The (triple confirmed) driver was not here. Triple confirmed hotel wasn’t booked. But this is just how things work here and if you are in a rush, you better go back home.

Wppi 2012 Las Vegas | You Gotta See This | Part 2 of 2

We almost don’t know where to start with telling about our experiences from WPPI Las Vegas. Wppi, worlds largest wedding and portrait photographer convention, was on our “to experience list” for quite some years now. Last year we missed it by three weeks during our trip around the world stop in Vegas. But we blocked the dates out for 2012 very early last year. Every single wedding photographer, who’s work we admire, has something to do with this event and visited it at least once. So we gotta see this too. Continue Reading

Hi folks,

we are back in town for a couple of hours before we head further to India Monday morning. It was just freakin’ amazing! But, this posting today is not going to be about WPPI, you got to wait a little longer for our story from the convention. Today we will share pictures from two workshops (not from the wppi program) we were attending in Vegas.

Road Trip 2012 | Outlook and Goals | Favorite Indian Photos

As mentioned earlier we have not done a 2011 review or “best of 2011 picture” but that does not mean we have not had a freakin’ fantastic last year. It was incredible, maybe one of the best years we have ever had.

We tripped to wonderful countries, we met unbelievable nice and friendly people from all over the world. Our clients and their weddings were the best. We got featured online in many blogs and platforms as well as in (print) magazines. Attending Photoshop World in Orlando and meeting the Kelby Gang was another highlight. We did lots of one2one sessions and could help others to improve and develop their business and photography also during our portrait and editing workshops. Continue Reading
