Couple of years back we got a question of a friend who was designing a website for Schloss Thurn, if he can use some of our wedding photos for the gallery. At this point we have not yet been there actually but we agreed of course. Last year, when Denise and Christopher contacted us, it turned out that they got recommended through their venue because we ever since where listed as their partners. How cool is that?

So here we are, photographing a wonderful wedding in the “Fränkischen Schweiz” and enjoying every minute of it. Denise and Christopher are people with a big heart and we had super fun right at the first meeting we had. Ever since we got the inquiry from Verena and Ian we had itchy feed and almost could not wait to photograph our first winter wedding.
Why was it our first one? Well, as many of you know we have not had winter for two years now, due to our trip around the world and so we could not do last year’s requests. While Steffi and Stephan are enjoying their honeymoon at some secret wonderful place on earth we are very happy to show you a little video from their beautiful wedding. Remember this cutaways and smoking’s and sure the beautiful dresses? If not, here is the blog post with a bunch of photos.

Shooting that fusion was really fun. At the end of the day we, as photographers, are story tellers and this camera build in tool(s) help us to hold and transport a message for a certain event even better. And no, it is not impossible if you are just a one (wo)man show. But more on that, on one of our fusion workshops coming up in 2012 if you want.

We were stoked to hear from the engagement of Verena and Mathias at the beginning of this year. We know them for quite some time now and were following the effort they put into all the details and planning for the wedding. Since they are very much into photography, pictures of the wedding are quite important.

Reading the weather forecasts during the last weeks for the day of the wedding made it somehow unreal. Is it really getting 20°C colder from one day to the other? They must be mistaking. As said in yesterday’s workshop posting we spent the weekend in the Vienna area. Main reason was of course the wedding on Saturday of Stephanie and Stephan in Klosterneuburg.

We have not met them before and they booked us right away without talking to us at all. That can be a really dangerous thing for all of us btw. Is the chemistry working? Are we nice guys? But turns out, that they knew us quite well and that they were following our work during the past so for them it was clear that we should fit together. Read more
