Two weeks ago Catha and Eugen came down to Carinthia the whole way from Bielefeld. That’s a loooong trip with a one year old Baby, but for sure we had an amazing time together. We went to Lago di Fusine, a little lake between the mountains in Italy (20 min from our home) because both of them like water and mountains…so this was a perfect secret spot.
Early last year when we got the inquiry of J&K in our inbox saying that a Tyrolean girl wants to get married to a Californian guy (both living in New York) we knew: We definitely have to be part of this winter wedding dream. And humbled and luckily, we were there in January to capture this amazing day deep in the Alps. Continue Reading
They named it as their most favorite day in their lives (so far) and it truly was a perfect day for them, their guests and for us as well. We have been to this wonderful location close to Munich a couple of years back. We only knew, the weather won’t matter that day (check this posting later, to know why) but we were all excited for this wedding.
The weekend started on Friday with their civil wedding at Schloss Nymphenburg and we could get to know their amazing family and friends already prior to the big day. Continue Reading
The wonderful Inga has been a long time friend and fellow wedding photographer. As a regular visitor of our blog you sure remember that we are super honored if we get hired by people from our own industry.
We have not yet had the pleasure to shoot in this part of Germany but we have heard great things about it before hand. Truth to be told, we felt a little bit like being in Italy right at the beginning. Once we mentioned that people started saying that the Pfalz is seriously know for being the German Tuscany. Wen-Hong and Sascha hired us back in 2013 for a casual portrait session in Vienna. And we immediately got along very well with these warm hearted people. Needless to say we were super excited when they approached us more than 2 years ago about their plans to get married. Continue Reading
Traveling to Switzerland for weddings is indeed a huge pleasure for us. It happens about three times a year and we always experience something new, unseen and magical when visiting this little alp state.
This time, Eva and David called for their dream intimate wedding and we had the great pleasure to be part of the day.
Everyone was concerned about the weather but we always tell people that it doesn’t matter as long as your love isn’t influenced by rain. You will shine no matter what.
A couple of weeks ago we traveled to Hamburg for an amazing wedding weekend.
It wasn’t only the bride and groom and their wonderful celebration what we were excited about. We also met two super sweet people who have been following our work since a very long time and are probably the reason we got hired in the first place. Continue Reading
Mid of May we have had the honor to cover a fellow photographers wedding. As a regular follower you know that this is a huge honor for us. Especially, if it’s someone who has joined the Candi Community years ago.
Another sweet treat is to work with Doreen Winking and a fantastic team around this wedding again. But most of all we LOVE to photograph a wedding with TRUE LOVE between the couple. Continue Reading
;) Continue Reading
Thank you for stopping by our blog today. You are about to see a very emotional and personal wedding. Once or twice ever year we get specially challenged when fellow wedding photographers hire us for their own wedding.
Most of them are part of our Candi Community and they know more or less everything about our photography and business. To get booked for their big day is of course a huge compliment but a lot of pressure at the same time. Continue Reading
Thank you for stopping by at our little blog today. You may have noticed that we are going “all in” in 2016 to catch up with blogging again. Actually, its not a bad thing to walk through wedding images after some time has passed.
A big advantage is, that we gained some distance between these images taken by us and thus we are able to better judge our own work and learn from every shoot. Asking ourselves if we have done a good job of capturing the real moments and transport them to the viewer. Continue Reading
It’s almost two years ago, that this lovely Dutch/Australian couple inquired for their chic countryside orangery wedding outside of Amsterdam. We were super stoked to be back in the Netherlands last summer after we first visited the country in 2012 for these two Kiwis and their special day.
We love Amsterdam. The city has such a fascinating architecture and a special flare. If you have ever visited the city, you know what we want to say. And if not, you gotta go there. Continue Reading
Last year, that sounds long ago actually ;-), we have had the honor to be three times on the wonderful spanish island Mallorca. One wedding has been private but in case you missed the other wedding story you can read all about it right here. LINK Continue Reading
We have been dying to post this wedding from April here on our blog but since it was the cover story of the first issue of the new Hochzeitswahn Magazine we had to hold it back. (If you want to win THE LAST copy of the magazine, read till the end of this post) Continue Reading
Yes, it’s us! We are back from a little break here on the blog. Well to be honest with you, life is a little crazy at the moment.
Being so much on the road, with tons of work and beautiful weddings to cover and still having a family life isn’t easy at all. We have traveled 5 countries this year already together with our little baby Malia and our wonderful PA Marina. She is more than just a BFF to Malia and they are having a fun time together. Wouldn’t be possible without her help! Continue Reading
