Natascha and Bernd | A Midsummer Dream Wedding

Without keeping account of the longest relationship of our couples before they got married, we assume Natascha and Bernd are holding the record. They are dating each other for 17 (in words seventeen) years now! Finally, people say, they did it! And it was a fantastic festivity in Castle Maria Loretto – Klagenfurt right next to the wonderful scenery at Wörthersee.

Natascha and Bernd are both busy business people but still they spend a lot of time to plan and work for their big wedding day. There were so much little details starting with the save the date “cans”. In there were seeds and the instruction to wait for the invite in order to start growing the maidenhair trees all together. The invite booklet was peppered with stories and details about the wedding and their lives.

So many details and the ginko leave ran like a thread through the entire wedding. Nataschas Mom passed a way couple of years ago but she brought her into this big day with integrating a picture from her in the bridal bouquet. Isn’t that a great way to show how much she misses her?

We started the day with both of them in the modern and stylish Lindner See Park Hotel just right next to the lake. It’s been a fun getting ready for all of us, very relaxed and plenty of time.

The weather could not have been better for this day and we all new this is going to be a very hot day. The ceremony right in the head of the midday sun was, from a photographer’s point of view, very challenging. Bright sunlight, dark shadows you name it. But both of the priests, the catholic as well as the protestant, made the ceremony very personal and emotional.

During the afternoon the guests enjoyed the free time in the garden of the castle and we had some time to spend with the bride and groom alone and it was really easy to capture these guys how they really are and the sweet harmony between them.

For us, it was the first time in Maria Loretto and we really loved that everything takes place in one spot and the food and service was outstanding.

Special for us this time was, that our ipad show went a little bigger this time. The bride asked if we could show it on the screen in the garden while the people enjoy the warm weather an having the cake out there. A slideshow of about 45 random pictures of the day was presented to the guests. It feels great to see our work that big.

The screen was actually here to show some old classic films like “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” for those who are not willing to dance to much. We closed the day with some party pictures and the opening dance as well as the start of Bernd’s birthday.

Here is to thank a dear friend of us, Alice, for recommending us to Natascha and sure we thank you both for letting us be part of your beautiful day. We wish you all the best and we would love to see you soon again. Hope you are having a perfect time cruising Italy.

Love from Munich
