We were totally thrilled and could not await this wedding after we got the inquiry from this lovely couple. A wedding in France: Yes please!
It’s actually the third country in Europe this year where at least on of us has never been before in our lives. We love our job and we love to travel so this could not be a better combination for destination wedding photographs. If you are interested, there are still a couple of countries we have not seen yet, just saying
After our Skype session with “Toulouse” we knew that these guys would make it pretty easy for us to cover their day. Good looking, laid back and totally in love with each other.
So we made it to France (Rouffach) the day before during the evening hours, guided with one of the most beautiful sunsets we have seen for a while and hoping that we will have nice weather and such wonderful light too.
We gathered around noon for the getting ready and met bride and groom in person for the first time. The idea of Katrin to put together a “book of love” (A True Love Story), which contains almost every conversation via E-Mail, chats and other media combined with pictures from the last years together, is just plain amazing.
For the ceremony, they had chosen a lovely church up on the hills above the vineyards. What a fantastic view! We were a little worried about how to communicate with the wedding guests. We both don’t speak French at all but the fabulous people where a mixture from all over the world and so we could make it work with either German or English.
After the very nicely performed opening dance of the couple one friend after the other stepped onto the dance floor and they started a breathtaking flash mob performance. What a great idea! Really, for the first 30 minutes of the party, everyone was rocking the floor. We haven’t seen that before.
We seriously had a fantastic time in France and we would love to meet you guys again soon. Who knows, maybe next year
Love from Munich
