Traveling to Switzerland for weddings is indeed a huge pleasure for us. It happens about three times a year and we always experience something new, unseen and magical when visiting this little alp state.
This time, Eva and David called for their dream intimate wedding and we had the great pleasure to be part of the day.
Everyone was concerned about the weather but we always tell people that it doesn’t matter as long as your love isn’t influenced by rain. You will shine no matter what.
Boy and yesssss, they did shine!
Getting ready started in the amazing Alden Luxury Suite Hotel a place we won’t forget soon. Both, bride and groom took their time in one of the suites to get ready and enjoy the moment with great friends and family.
Since we were located directly in the city, we spontaneously suggested doing the first look in the large suite as well. Great they liked this idea so we could share this moment while their love song was played :)
Second location for the day was the Traumgarten in Thalwil Ceremony and reception took place at this lovely place near the lake Zurich.
The weather was still dry and everything went well. We love Swiss German ceremonies – it is a totally different language, but we still can follow the words. It was fabulous, personal and very emotional.
Almost a minute after the outside ceremony ended it started to rain and it stopped right before we wanted to go for some portraits. We knew it won’t last long though so we had kind of a rush.
Right in the middle of the shoot down at the lake, we saw the rain coming over the lake already. We saw it won’t be just a little but pouring!
Desperately we tried to find a little pier and we found one just in the second the sky started to “cry” heavily. Ok, what to do? We said towards bride and groom: “Our gear and us are ready to go out and take some epic images, if you are…” – We honestly did not expect them to say what did. “Let’s go out there! We won’t have time tomorrow for epic shots!” :-)
We only had two umbrellas, yes the ones you see in the images, so we went without any coverage at all. Did we get wet? Totally! Was it worth it? YOU BET!
After that, we went back to the location to continue the evening both filled up with LOVE. Our Cards and our hearts.
THANK YOU Eva and David for such a special wedding day. We wish you all the best and hope to see you again soon.
LOVE
Carmen and Ingo
