A couple of month ago a new travel blog from Germany was brought to live from Elisaveta Schadrin-Esse. An amazing blog where globetrotters and traveling photographers share their trips around the world called Fernwehosophy.
The team around Lisa also started the FernwehO MAG to bring special locations and regions of the planet into one place. Perfect to get wanderlust and explore the word either in the magazine or get tips to explore countries by yourself. Continue Reading
Yesterday we had a very nice little family and friends BBQ at one of the most beautiful spots in Carinthia. It is overwhelming how much love we received for our wedding in New Zealand over the last couple of month and eloping was simply the best idea we have ever head. But truth to be told, we missed our close people and thus we wanted to party with them as well. Continue Reading
About three years ago, we have done a trip around the world and totally fell in love with this wonderful country. (Postings from the past, here and here) New Zealand reminds us a little bit of Austria with the difference that a deep blue ocean is attached to the endless of beauty in the nature.
We were very sure that we will be back one day and once we started planning our recent trip around the world, we knew we want at least another month of traveling in one of these cool camper vans. Continue Reading
We just “landed in Vegas for the biggest wedding photography convention (WPPI) and ready for some great new inspirations and meeting old and new friends! But before that, we gotta get this blog post finally up in the air.
WOW, it really took us so long but believe it or not, traveling sounds like a lot of free time but you end up doing something all the time. And between India and now there happened so many things we hardly can process everything. AND: we got married too…but more about this very soon, it was more than wonderful!
We hope you made it safe and sound to the great 2014 and took it with full swing. For those of you following us on Facebook or Instagram (maybe twitter) have seen that we left for South Africa the end of November to enjoy a little rest and relaxing after our most intense year ever. 2013 has been incredible and we would like to thank all of you for being with us and supporting our work. Family, friends and clients: THANK YOU!! Continue Reading
We have talked and blogged about this topic very often already (here, here, this one, and there, and this) and some of our readers might remember, that we try to get in front of a photographers lens at least once a year. The advantages are pretty easy to understand: Continue Reading
Boy, looking at these photos from our recent trip to the USA makes us want to go back or just call our friends for a small chat. It was such a great and funny time. During the stay in Las Vegas we spontaneously decided to head out to the desert to do a fun shoot with all of us. You know, just everyone poses for the other one and it’s basically hanging out with our buddies and enjoying this gorgeous light in Nevada.
We love these guys so much and we cannot wait to meet them again. Also Ingo enjoyed having so much quality time with his long time buddy and best friend and all around nice guy Stefan from Stinglight Photography. He took the photos from us both. Thanks dude for everything!!
If you follow our blog you might have noticed, that if we are on our travels we always try to dive into the culture and are out in the field for great stories and portraits. That’s travelling. We totally distinguish between a vacation and travelling. Why? Because it simply is a total different approach for us. You might guess where we are heading with this. We have had a REAL vacation this time. One thing was on the 2-do-list: Don’t move too much ;-) Continue Reading
We are in the middle of high peak wedding season right now. Lotsa work around and also kinda stressful for both of us. Times like that make us thing back to our travels and realize (remember) how grateful we should be for our lives. All plays well right now here in our world. We are half time through of our first year of full time biz owners and still very happy with the decision. Continue Reading
First of all we would like to thank you all so much for the overwhelming response to Kismets and Nitins wedding. It’s been a page view record for us again and we loved all your comments here and on Facebook and Twitter. We are speechless! Thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts!
Chances are that we are repeating ourselves here but we are in love with this country. Ever since we visited it first, back in 2005, there is a special chemistry between us and India. The people, the nature, the smells, the traffic just everything is so different from back home or any other places we have seen so far.
When we got hired for the wedding we did not waste a second to clear out the calendar for at least a month in order to spend some time here.
Well you might say, haven’t you just been on a 6 month vacation? Then let us tell you, that our trip around the world was not just a super long vacation and second, it’s almost a year that we came back from that trip.
So we decided before our busy summer is starting in April, we would like to recharge batteries and combine once again what we do love the most: photography and traveling. Continue Reading
We have been looking forward to this wedding for a very long time now. An Indian wedding has always been on our wish list, and then, wedding in India could only top it! We told you the story behind the “acquisition” phase some time ago and we still cannot believe how things always come together. So here are pictures and the story of our first Indian wedding in India. Please, don’t be mad on us but putting 4 days into one blog posting is kinda difficult. So be aware to see lotsa pictures and many words. Here we go! Continue Reading
We know you guys are badly waiting for the Indian wedding to hit the blog and we promise it’s on the way. But meanwhile here our first impressions of this wonderful country.
After spending about 36 hours in Munich we left for Delhi on 27th Feb for a month in India. India, and Delhi especially, is one of the rare places we have been visiting more than once on one of our trips. It’s almost exactly three years that we were here last and a lot changed since than. But then again, nothing is different from 2009. We arrived 3am and headed to a nice hotel near the central train station. We just wanted to hit the pillow before doing anything else. Needed a lot of patience right outside the airport though. The (triple confirmed) driver was not here. Triple confirmed hotel wasn’t booked. But this is just how things work here and if you are in a rush, you better go back home. Continue Reading
We almost don’t know where to start with telling about our experiences from WPPI Las Vegas. Wppi, worlds largest wedding and portrait photographer convention, was on our “to experience list” for quite some years now. Last year we missed it by three weeks during our trip around the world stop in Vegas. But we blocked the dates out for 2012 very early last year. Every single wedding photographer, who’s work we admire, has something to do with this event and visited it at least once. So we gotta see this too. Continue Reading
we are back in town for a couple of hours before we head further to India Monday morning. For those, following us on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram might have seen that we spent the last 10 days in Las Vegas to attend worlds largest wedding and portrait photographers convection called WPPI. It was just freakin’ amazing! But, this posting today is not going to be about WPPI, you got to wait a little longer for our story from the convention. Today we will share pictures from two workshops (not from the wppi program) we were attending in Vegas. Continue Reading
As mentioned earlier we have not done a 2011 review or “best of 2011 picture” but that does not mean we have not had a freakin’ fantastic last year. It was incredible, maybe one of the best years we have ever had.
We tripped to wonderful countries, we met unbelievable nice and friendly people from all over the world. Our clients and their weddings were the best. We got featured online in many blogs and platforms as well as in (print) magazines. Attending Photoshop World in Orlando and meeting the Kelby Gang was another highlight. We did lots of one2one sessions and could help others to improve and develop their business and photography also during our portrait and editing workshops. Continue Reading
Continue Reading
