Hello lovely people!
Christmas is around the corner and we’re enjoying it a lot. Unfortunately the snow is gone already and it looks more like November outside but hey, Christkindlmarkt with hot tea cozy evenings next to fire places are on the list for many of us. Do you love this time of the year too?
Looking back to a highlight wedding from Megan and Marc makes us dreaming about warm summer days to be honest.
Megan and Marc are such a sweet couple. Megan is from the US and Marc from Germany, both living together in the USA. They were planning to get married in Marc’s home country because they both feel really connected to this beautiful surrounding near the French boarder.
Schloss Staufenberg is such a dreamy location on top of a hill in the middle of a well-known wine area. If you ever have the chance to visit Baden, try to get to see this beautiful place. Its really worth it.
Finally we had met them (and their incredible nice family and friends from all over the world) the day before the actual wedding for dinner at the beautiful terrace of the Castle Staufenberg.
We instantly felt connected to these warmhearted people, and we are very grateful to have such amazing people as our clients. These guys taste is nothing short of fabulous, and we were really excited to see all the wedding bliss at the next day. And yes, it was stunning.
The day started with heavy rain but both of them were so relaxed about it even though they planned to get married in the beautiful rose garden of the castle and everything else was planned outdoor.
They never really went through Plan B, because they were always thinking that everything is gonna be alright.
One of Megan’s all-time favorite movie is called “about time” where they got married during really heavy rain too. Megan told us that she wouldn’t mind get married in the rain.
For her it would be the most romantic thing in any kind of weather to say yes to her Marc.
What a beautiful way to think about your wedding day. It’s not about the weather, it’s about the person you’re going to marry. So simple and so true. And we couldn’t believe it but it stopped raining 5 min before Megan went down the aisle with her father. So everyone enjoyed a wonderful outdoor ceremony with a view (and no umbrella) even with some sun.
Everything was so natural and simple and yet so elegant. Megan looked amazing in her madewithlove dress and Marc really elegant (Ryan Gosling like) in his suit.
But the most beautiful thing was to see how they looked at each other with so much love. They treated each other in such a romantic and caring way. During the day and during our little shoot in the vineyard.
The reception took place in a rustic room and the flowers and setting were a perfect fit for the couple. Stunning, natural and elegant at the same time. They had a fantastic dinner followed by a really fun party night for sure!
All in all a wonderful day, with amazing people, but let the pictures speak for themselves.
If you prefer, check the 2 min slideshow below with some highlight images and sound ON!
Thank you Megan and Marc for having us and for your trust in us and in our work.
Hope to meet up soon again. Love you guys!
Carmen and Ingo
