Our brand new Image Film | By Cana Family

Wohoo! Yesterday we have got an e-mail from Ben & Drew aka The Cana Family, with a link to Vimeo. All of a sudden Carmen was shaking a little and we both were super nervous and excited. It does not happen often that we have to give up control for something about us and we were afraid of how we would look and how we come across. Carmen was worring about her hair and make up after hiking for hours through the forest as well ;-)

Can you see the cow dung on our feet? Haha, that was really funny!

Yesterday we got that kind of feeling that our brides and grooms must have when we send them the links for photos or fusion. Normally we can only imagine how they must feel when they talk about their excitement.

Ben and Drew, The Cana Family, are California based wedding filmmakers and we are following them and their work since years already. They get hired along side the best wedding photographers in the world (e.g. Jose Villa) and you gotta check out their work. It’s a very special and unique style and a stunning, always touching, story telling.

Last year in October we decided to contact them and ask them to do our new promo video while we are in California during our trip to WPPI13. We actually did not think they are doing this kind of films but we were over the moon excited as we sealed the deal and we could not wait to meet them in San Luis Obispo. Yes, that’s SLO, the little town where so many creative people are coming from. (e.g. our dear friends Mike and Rachel)

After we met in the charming (Café) Sally Loo’s we headed out to the coast to Hearst Memorial State Beach where all the filming took place. We loved the magical forest and the stunning scenery. Ben and Drew just nailed the choice for the location and we were hiking around for hours in that beautiful spot.

These guys are super fun and we enjoyed being in front of their lenses and also see how they work ;-)

Here is to thank Drew and Ben so much for their work and their patience with us. Thanks for all the fun we had and we are sure, we will meet soon again. Maybe here in Europe ;-)
