Sometimes things don’t go as planned, but a lot of times the end result is better than you could’ve ever imagined.
First contact – July ’16; Wedding – Summer ’18
A lot of time passed and some burdens and a wonderful baby later we finally met Daniela and Michael in Portugal for a very special and magical wedding.
Portugal showed us it’s best side. Incredibly warm weather, crisp air and the most beautiful colors helped to make the day of the wedding be one for the books!
Daniela, as a half Portuguese woman looked incredible elegant in her white gown and the couple fit so well in the scenery we couldn’t help being astonished. The Santuário de Santa Luzia has been their dream wedding location since forever and and it is a beautiful cathedral with an even better view! The accessories, all kept in soft pink harmonized very well with the sunset and so did the portugese food with the sense of well being we’ve been surrounded by for the whole time.
Even though it was a very small and intimate wedding, the couple had a starstruck moment when they stepped out of the cathedral because (what felt like) thousands of tourists happened to be there, blocking the way and taking a ton of pictures.
Bride and groom are both such wonderful human beings, full of love, light and laughter who didn’t let their good mood be disturbed by any kind of incident, for example when the bridal car stopped working – nothing could making them stop smiling! loved it!
We had the chance to do a after wedding shoot at the beach near Viana do Castelo next day and the light was just breathtaking. The sunsets are kinda magical in Portugal.
Daniela and Michael, we are so grateful that you trusted us with capturing these beautiful moments on your special day.
Wishing you all the best,
Carmen and Ingo
